The garden mums we offer start to bloom early enough in Sept. or before to make a showing well before first frost here, normally Oct. 10. Recommended care: divide every spring, water regularly, and fertilize once a month. Wish we'd do that to see if results are really better! We are happy with them anyway.
The winter of 2000-2001 was unkind to many of our chrysanthemums. They don't like ice. We had plenty of it, along with continual cold temperatures that allowed no respite. Some failed to make it through the winter at all. With others, there were some losses, forcing us to take another year to build up supplies again. Those listed below came through in sufficient numbers to be offered to you.
CUSHION MUMS - All are 12-18" tall. Space 1'. Pinch 2 or 3 times, the last pinching around the first of July.
CHMR 'Minnruby' - deep glowing ruby red 2" double. Spring only.
